Medvouch: arranging the trip around treatment
Overview
Healthcare travel involves more than choosing a clinic. Patients also need accommodation, transport, and a way to speak with a doctor before the trip. I worked on Medvouch to bring those arrangements into one application.
The platform served patients and service providers. My work included the booking interface, multilingual content, a package builder, and remote consultation booking.
Constraints
Treatment, accommodation, transport, and insurance involved different choices. The interface needed to make the contents of a package understandable.
Implementation
The package builder let patients select medical and travel services, including accommodation, transport, and insurance.
Results
- The application grouped medical and travel services into configurable packages.
- Patients could arrange a remote consultation before their trip.
- Multilingual content supported the booking process for international visitors.
What mattered
The main design decision was to put the trip around the appointment. Patients could review travel services as part of the package instead of leaving those arrangements to separate follow-up work.
